Facebook Marketing for Small Businesses

The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology Development Center along with the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Jonesboro Association will offer “Facebook Business Marketing: Set Your Facebook Page to Engage Customers” Tuesday, August 2nd from 1-4 pm and again from 6-9 pm Room 110 ASU Delta Center for Economic Development on the ASU campus, 319 University Loop West in Jonesboro. SEATING LIMITED: 18 Computer Stations. Military Veterans and Family attend 6 pm session NO CHARGE.

Facebook PAGES for Business Seminar - a basic course to help small business owners evaluate how Facebook and other social media networks can improve their marketing efforts. “Facebook has become a great marketing tool for small businesses,” said Herb Lawrence, Center Director for the ASU Small Business and Technology Development Center. “Over 750 million people are currently on Facebook and over 700,000 businesses have Facebook Pages that allows them to find and develop profitable relationships with customers. The question is: Are you on Facebook to greet them?”

This workshop will show attendees how this powerful social media network can help establish relationships with potential customers on Facebook who want to know more about their businesses. Topics will include discussions of privacy issues, how to build a professional page, find “fans”, use basic Facebook applications, and much more. Attendees should have some basic computer knowledge and should have a Facebook Profile already setup to get the most out of the session. This 3 hour seminar will be taught by Abbi Siler, Marketing Consultant for Pleth, LLC.

Registration is $35 per person ($25 Jonesboro Regional Chamber & Downtown Jonesboro Association members and $20 for ASU Faculty, Staff and Students). Military Veterans & family members are invited to attend the 6 pm seminar AT NO CHARGE as part of the ASU SBTDC Summer Veterans in Business Series. Veterans are asked to register however to make sure sufficient material on hand.
