CWL Water Usage Request

During the recent hot and dry weather, CWL has exceeded its all-time peak day for water usage by approximately 10%

CWL customers’ water usage has approximately doubled during this period, which can likely be attributed primarily to irrigation

We estimate that 12 – 15 million gallons per day of water is being used for irrigation

Weather forecasts show that temperatures for the next 10 days are expected to be near or above 100⁰ F, with little or no precipitation

We strongly encourage our customers to be good stewards of this precious resource and begin alternating their irrigation as follows:

• Even-numbered addresses (Ex. 400 E. Monroe) – water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
• Odd-numbered addresses (Ex. 401 E. Monroe) – water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
