ASU SBTDC offering two small business workshops in Jonesboro Tuesday, February 23rd and Wednesday, February 24th.

 

The ASU  Small Business and Technology Development Center will conduct two seminars for small businesses at the ASU Delta Center for Economic Development on Tuesday, February 23rd and Wednesday, February 24th

Tuesday, February 23rd from 6:00-9:00 pm What Every Small Business Should Know about Good Credit workshop will be conducted by Robert Bahn, Business Consultant for the ASU SBTDC.   “Good credit is vital to any small business owner to be able to access funding from commercial lenders, credit card companies and vendors,” said Herb Lawrence ASU SBTDC Center Director, “But good credit doesn’t happen by accident.  Our instructor, Robert Bahn has many years experience in commercial lending and will be sharing his insight into maintaining good credit for your business.”  In this three hour seminar  Bahn will discuss how banks make credit decisions, how credit impacts a business and what business owners can do to strengthen their credit. 

On Wednesday, February 24th the ASU SBTDC will kick of the first of a series of “Lunch N’ Learn: Brown Bag Seminars” from 11 am to 1 pm.  The Wednesday seminar will be on Twitter Applications for Small Business Marketing.  Small businesses all over Arkansas are discovering the power of Social Media Marketing as a cost effective way to connect with new customers.  But with so many options many small businesses are unsure which options are best for them.  At this Lunch N’ Learn 2 hour session attendees will learn about Twitter and how it can help your business grow.  Topics will include: Basics of Twitter, What Twitter can do for a small business, basic setup and best practices.  Attendees will also receive a step-by-step guide that will help them grow their social media programs.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a “brown-bag” lunch; ASU SBTDC will supply the drinks.
